EMPTINESS / GWACTER
This work draws on the practice of meditation to show how people mediate between (sometimes conflicting, sometimes entangled) inner and outer experience. The work questions this very notion of inner/outer experience, and this in contemporary conditions of distraction and response overload. We live in a world which is awash with anxiety, stress, and fear. Mental suffering, possibly due to the fast paced nature of the western world and distancing of ourselves from the natural world, is more prevalent than ever.
